i n r i began her career as a celebrity photographer, but in 1997 she quit her job and "turned her camera on the semi-abstract shadows of the Tokyo cityscape, on the emotional vicissitudes of the human form, and to documenting performance works that explored both of these subjects" states The Chicago Journal.
